County Fermanagh is known as the 'Lake County'. It has in excess of 360 lakes, hence the name. The County has many places of interest,from forest walks to the finest golf courses in the British Isles.
For those who seek a few precious moments of solitude and the thrill of hooking a rewarding catch there is no doubt that the lake shores of Lough Erne are deemed to be the best in Ireland for the keen fisherman.
Other options for the visiting anglers include Moorlough Lake (16 miles) Lough Ash (18 miles) and the challenge of pike fishing on Baronscourt Estate (35 miles).
Visiting anglers are always made welcome on Lough Melvin (12 miles) and the River Drouse about 12 miles travel (Tullaghan), famous for the first salmon of the year netted on the 1st January.
